Clos de los Siete is the Andes adventure of Michel Rolland, the legendary winemaker from Bordeaux. Rolland first came to Argentina in 1987 and found his ideal terroir at the foot of the Andes in Vista Flores, Valle de Uco. He invited fellow Bordeaux families to join him, and in 1999 they inaugurated Clos de los Siete: 850 hectares of vineyards at 1,100 metres. Four wineries, among them Monteviejo and Cuvelier Los Andes, each contribute their best grapes to one single wine, a Malbec-led blend with Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, made by Rolland himself. With more than fifteen vintages rated 90+ points and sold in 56 countries, it is the most exported Malbec blend from Argentina.
