Wapisa is the Patagonian project of the Ortiz family, owners of Bodega Tapiz. Its vineyards lie on the Los Acantilados estate in San Javier, Río Negro, in Atlantic Patagonia: just 100 metres above sea level and only a short distance from the ocean, one of the most unusual places to grow wine in Argentina. The sea breeze and cool climate give fresh, vibrant wines with good colour and a distinctive spicy character. The whale on every label is a nod to the whales that visit this stretch of coast. The range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.
