Durigutti Family Winemakers is the family winery of brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, two of Argentina's most respected winemakers. In 2007 they bought their first 5 hectares in Las Compuertas, the coolest and highest corner of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, to save its century-old vineyards from urban sprawl. Today the estate covers 34 hectares and is called Finca Victoria, after their mother. Under the Proyecto Las Compuertas label they rescue heritage grapes such as Criolla Chica, Cordisco and Charbono alongside Malbec from vines planted in 1914, farmed organically and fermented with native yeasts in concrete eggs to show the pure character of the place. On the estate, the Casa Victoria guesthouse welcomes visitors among the vines.
