Founded in 1885 by the Italian immigrant Felipe Rutini, Bodega La Rural is one of Mendoza's oldest family wineries. Today its Rutini wines are made in a modern winery in Tupungato, high in the Valle de Uco at the foot of the Andes, under head winemaker Mariano Di Paola. From the everyday Trumpeter and Destino ranges to the Colección, Single Vineyard and Antología wines, every bottle carries more than a century of Mendoza winemaking.
Visiting Mendoza? The original La Rural cellar in Maipú is home to Argentina's Museo del Vino.
