Rutini Colección Cabernet-Malbec

Rutini Colección Cabernet-Malbec is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Malbec from Rutini's vineyards in the Valle de Uco, at 1,100 to 1,250 m. The Colección range carries Rutini's most emblematic label and has been a classic in Argentine restaurants for decades.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. The blend combines the fruity character of Malbec, with aromas of plum and cherry, with the pepper and black olive of Cabernet Sauvignon. The subtle smokiness from French oak merges with a delicate harmony between tannins and body.

Food pairing

Red meat in sauce, bean casseroles, traditional Argentine dishes, baked chicken with vegetables, stews, meat pie, or a board of semi-hard cheeses.

Winemaking

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Malbec. Aged 12 months in French oak barrels (40% new, 60% second use). Aging potential 6 years. Winemaker Mariano Di Paola.
